Attract Mode: 46 Track 1983 Arcade Music Pack
A downloadable asset pack
Attract Mode is a 46 track retro arcade music pack for any game engine: the complete cue sheets of four 1983 style coin op games.
It ships 32 full looping pieces and 14 short cues as OGG and editable MIDI, royalty free for commercial games, with four full tracks free on this page.

What is inside
46 tracks · 32 loops · 14 cues · OGG + editable MIDI · 38:25
- Four cabinets from one studio, eleven tracks each: a maze game, a space shooter, a climbing game and a racer. Each has an attract mode, three rounds, a fourth round (or a boss, or a final lap), a bonus round, an intermission and a high score entry, plus start, miss and game over cues. The studio adds Insert Coin and Extra Life.
- Every cue plays once and ends on the home chord; the music runs 2.9 to 10.9 seconds before the tail. The Readme lists the length of every track in seconds, so you can time a READY screen or a respawn to it.
- Written to a dual PSG budget (two AY-3-8910 class sound chips): lead, counter line, arpeggio and bass, each one note at a time, two channels left empty for your sound effects, and drums from four noise sounds. No part ever holds a chord; never more than 4 pitched notes at once.
- One seed theme, Coin, in every track, with one more cell for each cabinet. Every loop closes on the same three chords: flat six, flat seven, one.
- Every full piece loops (the shortest loop is 50.5 seconds), with LOOPSTART and LOOPLENGTH tags in its OGG file.
- 27 pitched General MIDI instruments plus the drum kit, among them harpsichord, marimba, harmonica, synth brass, square lead, sawtooth lead, calliope and banjo. CHANNEL_MAP.md says which MIDI part is which PSG channel.
The theory and audio reports (808 and 510 checks, 0 failed) and the channel budget check ship inside the download.

The cue sheets: every track of all four cabinets with its slot and its length, and the two studio cues.

The channels: four bars of Shooter: The Mothership drawn lane by lane from the shipped MIDI, with the count of notes sounding at every sixteenth.

The score sheet: all 46 tracks, from Maze: Attract Mode to Extra Life.
Works with
RPG Maker MV and MZ read the loop tags with no plugin. The Readme gives import steps for Godot 4 (followed in a blank Godot 4.7.2 project, all 46 files), Unity and GameMaker. Any engine that plays OGG can use the files, and the MIDI drops into a tracker or your own instruments. Read the full guide and track list before you buy.

Four full tracks with their MIDI are free on this page, one from each cabinet: Maze: Round One, Shooter: The Mothership (a boss), Climber: Floor One and Racer: Final Lap. More free tracks from our other albums: Overture, the free sampler.
Licence and how it was made
Royalty free for commercial games, no credit required. Do not resell the tracks as music assets. Every track is composed in code and rendered through a General MIDI soundfont; the OGG files are a reference render, not chip emulation, and no generative audio model was used. The code, the pixel art cover and the store images were made with AI tools. Every tune was composed for this record; no arcade game's music is quoted.
