Forty-two tracks for the rooms a campaign actually spends its hours in. Not another combat pack: this is the village. The green, the tavern, the market, the smithy, the chapel, the moot hall, the road out, the night watch, the feast, and the burying ground.

It is built on one idea. The village has a song everybody knows, and every theme in the album is that song played by a different room. The tavern cuts its climb into a reel and dances it. The smithy takes its opening leap and hammers it. The chapel turns it upside down on organ and choir. The road opens out its falling tail until there is distance in it. The market rocks its middle two steps until they are gossip.

That is not a description, it is a measurement. The seed cell is stated in all 42 tracks, 356 times, under 5 distinct transformations — counted from the MIDI by a proof that ships inside the pack.

What is in it

  • 42 tracks, 38 of them full pieces (not a stinger pack padded to a number) across 22 slots — title, prologue, four village themes, three tavern, three market, smithy and mill, shop, two inns, two chapel, two hall, four road, three field and wood, two night watch, three festival, a funeral, a children's theme, weather, two ambient beds, and four stingers.
  • 59:44 of music.
  • Editable .mid sources beside every .ogg. Re-orchestrate it, re-tempo it, or pull a single line out for your own arrangement.
  • Sample-accurate loop points for all 38 looping tracks, plus per-engine import notes.
  • Royalty-free in your game, commercial use included. No attribution required.

Written as a folk band, not an orchestra

Whistle, fiddle, pipes, box, harp, dulcimer and plucked strings carry the tunes; bowed strings and reeds are the room rather than the melody. The album lives in dorian and mixolydian — the flat seventh is the folk band — and touches plain major exactly twice, at the moot hall and the bonfire, so that major reads as ceremony instead of sweetness. 16 distinct keys, 52 to 132 bpm, 28 instruments.

The proofs ship inside the pack

You do not have to take any of this on trust. proofs/ contains the full run:

  • 756 music-theory checks over the MIDI — key membership, resolving progressions, voice-leading, no parallel fifths, melodic singability, motif recurrence per track, arrangement texture, register separation.
  • 492 signal checks over the rendered audio — no clipping, loudness, duration, novelty curve, and loop-seam continuity measured either side of the join.
  • A pack-specific proof of the one claim this listing is sold on.

Honest notes

Everything above is a claim about the notes and the files, and every one of them is re-derivable from the package. None of it is a claim about how the music sounds — that is what the free demo is for. Four tracks are free and they are chosen to be the argument rather than the highlights: the tune stated plain, the same climb cut into a reel and danced in the tavern, the same tune turned upside down on organ and choir in the chapel, and the whole band playing it at the feast. If the tune does not survive those four, do not buy the other thirty-eight.
