Ironmarch - A Complete Combat Score - 42 Tracks
A downloadable asset pack
Forty-two tracks for a long game's whole war, not for one fight. Three escalating tiers of ordinary encounter, two ambushes, three elites, three duels, two pursuits, a three-track siege that changes hands, four bosses, two cues for when the party is losing, and a three-phase finale — plus the frame that makes any of it mean anything: the war room before, the march, the fire at night, and the field afterwards.
Every one of the forty-two states the same four notes. A rising third, hammered on the spot, settling back a step. Compressed, it becomes the march. Answered a degree off, it becomes a duel. Every interval opened out and every duration doubled, it becomes the siege. Turned upside down, it becomes the rout. And at the very end it is allowed to resolve upward for the first time since the title track. That is not a description, it is a measurement — the harness reads the finished MIDI back and counts every statement of every theme in every track. The seed appears 327 times across all 42, under six named transforms, and the report ships in the download.
Check it by ear, for free. Four full tracks are free below with their .mid sources: the title theme, an ordinary random encounter, the enemy commander, and the last movement of the finale. The commander gets the same theme rather than one of his own, because the theme is the war and not our side of it; the finale is that theme in the same key as the first phase with the mode finally turned major. If you cannot hear that those four are the same four notes, do not buy the other thirty-eight.
What you get: 42 x .ogg (44.1 kHz stereo) and 42 x editable .mid sources — re-voice them, re-orchestrate them, change the tempo, pull out a single line. Almost no music pack ships these. Sample-accurate LOOPSTART / LOOPLENGTH in the OGG Vorbis comments, denominated in samples, which is exactly what RPG Maker MV / MZ reads. 40:00 of music across 18 slots, in 27 distinct keys, scored for 29 instruments. Per-engine import notes and a royalty-free commercial licence.
The loops actually loop. Most packs are cut at a bar line, so even on a sample-perfect loop point you hear the join, because the reverb tail of the last bar is simply gone. Each track here is rendered past its loop end and that decay is summed back over the head of the loop, so the tail carries across the join instead of being cut at it. 38 of the 42 loop; the four cues are one-shots.
Checked, not asserted. 756 music-theory checks and 492 signal checks, 0 failed — key discipline, resolving harmony, voice leading, every note playable on its own instrument, no clipping, and loop tags read back out of the shipped bytes. Both reports are in the download. What those numbers do not claim: they establish that the music is technically sound. They are not a claim about taste, and no automated check can tell you whether a melody moves you. That is what the free preview is for.
Ironmarch is a separate album from our Adversary Suite ($9.99), not a bigger version of it — different seed, different voice, no shared material. Adversary is a compact enemy ladder for a short game; this is a full combat score for a long one.
