Bright & Cute - A Casual Game Music Pack - 44 Tracks

Bright & Cute is a 44 track score for casual, puzzle and match 3 games: the title, the menu, the level map, eight level themes, the shop, the idle screen, the pause, the results, the bonus round and the short cues a casual game fires all day. One bright voice from the first screen to the last.

One bright voice, checked on the shipped MIDI. Every track is in a major key or a major family mode (Ionian, Lydian or Mixolydian), and no part in any of the 44 tracks ever plays the minor third of its key: 9786 notes read, none of them that note. Even the Oops! and Time's Up cues stay major and get their sadness from a falling line instead. We ran the same check over our 22 other albums: none of them passes it on every track.

Hurry up twins. Each of the eight level themes comes with a twin: the same lead melody note for note, in the same key, about a quarter faster, over a busier band. Swap to it when the timer runs low. Both files have the same number of bars, so bar 5 of a level is bar 5 of its twin, and the Readme gives the arithmetic for swapping mid tune (Sugar Meadow: 10.0 seconds into the level is 8.0 seconds into the twin). Checked on the shipped MIDI for every pair.

What you get. 44 OGG files, 32 of them with sample accurate LOOPSTART and LOOPLENGTH tags, which is what RPG Maker MV and MZ read. 44 editable .mid sources. A Readme with per engine import notes and the twin swap formula, both proof reports, and a royalty free commercial licence.

One family of five cells from one seed. Pop, Bloop, Hop, Twinkle and Droop. Pop opens every level; Bloop is Pop upside down and runs the menus and the shop; Hop moves only by step and gets you around; Twinkle opens out for the rewards; Droop falls by step for the small sad moments. 1312 statements and fragments of those cells across the album, counted by the harness in the finished MIDI.

Gate results. 776 theory checks and 492 audio checks, 0 failed, and both reports ship inside the download. They say the music is correctly written, rendered and tagged. They are not a claim about taste, which is what the free tracks are for.
