70 props. 194 tiles. 7 ground materials. 3 animated sets. A clutter pack for 16×16 top-down games — the things you put on the ground once the ground is done.

Every prop ships twice, and that is the point

  • Transparent — the prop alone, to drop on your terrain.
  • Grounded — the same prop on ours, with a contact shadow between the two.

That is 70 grounded tiles beside 70 transparent ones, and you need both. A shadow has to darken something, so on a transparent tile it can only be an opaque dark blob — which under a bush reads as a hole in your grass. And a pack that ships only grounded tiles is useless to anyone who already has their own terrain.

Look at the second screenshot: the six shadows are six different colours. Each one is derived from the material it falls on — that material's own darkest tone, scaled down and cooled — so a shadow on sand cannot come out green.

What is in the box

  • 70 props across 10 biomes: cavern, desert, farm, grassland, ruin, settlement, shore, volcanic, wetland, winter
  • 7 seamless ground materials — meadow, path, sand, snow, cavefloor, ashfield, marshmud — four variants of each
  • 3 animated sets — a campfire, a banner and an ash vent — transparent and grounded, with frame order and loop declared so Tiled and Godot just play them
  • 194 individual PNGs plus grouped sheets, all on a strict 16px pitch
  • tiles.json — every tile, its role, its sheet, its slot, its size
  • A sample map — the picture and the JSON it was rebuilt from, so you can reconstruct it in any engine and then edit it
  • 28 repetition proofs — every ground tile rendered 4×4, shipped in the download so you can check us
  • Importers — RPG Maker MZ, Tiled .tsx, Godot .tres

⚠ What this pack does NOT include — please read before buying

  • No autotile or transition tiles. The 7 grounds are seamless fills only — no edge, corner or blend tiles between them, so a boundary between two of these materials is a hard edge. If you want 47-mask autotiling between terrains, that is what Verdant 01–06 are for, and this pack is drawn on the same grid and the same palette to sit on top of them.
  • No character sprites. Environment clutter only.
  • Two props are 2×2; everything else is a single 16×16 cell.

How the claims above are checked

Every build runs these, and you can run them yourself against the files in the download:

  • Exact grid — every sprite exactly 16×16 or a whole multiple; every sheet a whole multiple of the cell.
  • Palette lock — every opaque pixel inside the declared 113-colour palette, and that palette is derived from the pixels actually emitted rather than declared by hand.
  • No anti-aliasing — alpha is strictly binary. No soft edges, no halo, no resampled upscale. There is no filtering or scaling path in the generator at all.
  • Animation — every set is asserted to move and to loop. A set of identical frames encodes perfectly and is not an animation; a sequence whose last frame duplicates its first stutters once per cycle.
  • The sample map — the picture is rebuilt from the JSON alone and must come out byte-identical before it ships.

The seam claim, stated honestly

Every tile's wrap boundary is measured against its own interior — a tile whose edge is a statistical outlier against the rest of itself fails the build — and every 4×4 repetition is rendered and reviewed by eye. Those 28 fields ship in proof/ so you can look at exactly what we looked at.

We do not claim “mechanically proven seamless”, because no statistical seam test earns that. We measured ours: it catches hard edge artefacts about 97% of the time, and the commonest real defect only about 7% of the time, because that defect damages the very interior the test calibrates against. So the rendered field is the control and the statistic is a floor. The ground materials additionally close by construction — their noise lattices are refused unless they tile exactly.

Two importer claims that are not equal

  • Godot — loaded and verified in Godot 4.7.2, headless: every atlas source built, every texture resolved, all 194 tiles present, every multi-cell footprint exact. That covers resource load and inspection. It does not cover the editor GUI, painting on a TileMapLayer, or a running game.
  • Tiled — written to the documented .tsx schema and parsed back for well-formedness, but not opened in Tiled, which is not installed on our build machine. Treat it as unverified.
  • RPG Maker MZ — the object sheet is emitted at MZ's measured sheet geometry, with a JSON file naming the slot of every tile. This pack declares no autotiles, so there is no A2 sheet: props belong on MZ's object layers, which is where they are.

AI disclosure

Graphics: generated programmatically. Every tile here is the output of original software we wrote, from a hand-authored palette, hand-authored motifs and hand-authored material rules. No diffusion or image-generation model was used, and no third-party artwork is incorporated. Sounds: none. Text and dialog: none.

This page is tagged AI-assisted because the generator's own source was written with AI assistance, and we would rather over-disclose than have you find out from someone else. What you are buying is not a model's output — it is a program's output, it is ours, and the checks above are why we can say so in numbers rather than adjectives.
