Dwell — Long-Form Place Beds
A downloadable asset pack
Twelve places, each shipped in the layers it is made of.
Most ambience packs hand you an atmosphere. This hands you a place you can change: a full bed for when you just want it working, plus the two layers that bed is built from, so the room can react to the game. Bring the water up as the player nears the edge. Push the high wind as the storm rises. Drop the bed entirely and run only the air when a scene needs to breathe without being noticed.
Long-form on purpose. Beds run 30 seconds and layers 20, against a category norm nearer six. That is the difference between a loop a player notices inside a minute and one they do not.
The twelve places
Crypt · Cavern · Forge · Forest at night · Rain on canopy · Harbour · Scriptorium · Moor wind · Sanctum · Machine hall · Sewer · Snowfield
Each ships one 30-second bed, its two 20-second layers, and three accents that belong to it — six files per place, 72 in total, 36 of them seamless loops.
Hear it before you buy it
There is a free demo on this page: three complete places — crypt, harbour and moor wind — bed, both layers and all three accents each. Real files, unaltered, no watermark and no length limit, and yours to use commercially under the same terms as the full pack.
They are deliberately as unlike each other as the pack gets: one sparse and dry, one busy and tonal, one pure texture. If they still sound like they came from the same hand, that is the claim holding.
The licence, in one line
Use them in commercial projects, keep the money, no credit required. Unlimited projects, any platform, client work included, modify however you like. The only restriction is that you may not resell the sounds as sounds.
Every sound was synthesised from scratch in code — no recorded samples, no field recordings, no stock-library material. So there is no upstream licence behind this one, and no third party who could content-ID claim these against your project.
Drop-in
Normalised to one target; the inner 80% of the pack sits inside 2.61 dB. That band is wider than a one-shot pack's on purpose — a snowfield that measured as loud as a forge would be a mastering error, not consistency. The quiet places stay quiet.
All 36 loops are seamless by construction: the synthesis chain runs over three repeats of each period and the last is kept, so by then every filter and the room reverb are in periodic steady state and the wrap is continuous arithmetically rather than crossfaded. WAV carries sample-accurate smpl loop points; OGG carries LOOPSTART/LOOPLENGTH for RPG Maker MV/MZ. Every loop runs the full file, so any engine that simply loops the whole file is already correct.
Both formats ship under identical filenames. Per-engine import notes for Unity, Unreal, Godot, GameMaker, RPG Maker and web are in the Readme, and a full manifest lists every file with its exact duration.
Pairs with Escapement
The machine hall is built from the same iron and the same room as Escapement — Clockwork, Brass and the Machine Room, on purpose. If you own both, the machine-room ambience and the machine-room sounds are the same building.
An honest note
pack_proof.json ships in the download: peak, RMS, clipping count, spectral centroid, duration, edge continuity and loop seams measured two independent ways, for every file. 620 checks, all passing.
Those are signal measurements. They prove there is no measurable defect. They cannot tell you these places sound right for your game. That is what the free demo is for.
