Verdant 55 — Frontier Wild West Tileset for RPG Maker MZ, Tiled, Godot & Unity: Boomtown, Prairie, Canyon [16x16]
A downloadable asset pack
A Wild West setting for your map: 344 tiles at 16x16 in one 67-colour palette: a boomtown with a two-storey saloon, a general store and a sandstone jail on a plank boardwalk, open golden prairie with a fenced corral, and a red-rock canyon with raised slickrock benches and a mine. Commercial use permitted in unlimited projects, no attribution required; you may not resell the tiles themselves as an asset pack.
What is in it
- 25 objects: outhouse, bench, saloon (false front, two storeys), general store (false front, awning), sandstone jail, covered wagon, water tower, mine adit in a red-rock knoll, hitching post, water trough, wanted-poster board, stack of crates, cattle skull, barrel cactus, prickly pear, tumbleweed, corral fence run, spare wagon wheel, boot hill grave, trail signpost, hand water pump, red sandstone boulder, saguaro cactus, bleached dead tree, hoodoo rock spire. Each ships transparent for your own ground and grounded on ours, with a contact shadow drawn from that ground's own colours. The three buildings' signs carry painted words (SALOON, STORE, JAIL).
- 3 animated objects: a rolling tumbleweed, a lantern post whose flame flickers and a windpump whose wheel turns, 4 frames each at 180 ms.
- 235 transition tiles in 5 complete 47-mask sets: the plank boardwalk standing up off the street, the street and the wagon trail worn into the grass, the red canyon floor, and the pale slickrock benches rising off it.
- 24 fill tiles: pale packed street dust, plank boardwalk, golden dry prairie grass, brown trail earth, red canyon gravel and smooth sandstone, 4 variants each.
- A finished 40x26 sample map, Coyote Flats, with 73 objects placed, as PNG, JSON and a Tiled .tmx.
Engines
- Unity: copy
importers/Unity/Verdant55Frontier/into your project and run one menu command (Tools > CSAF Verdant > Verdant 55 Frontier > Build Unity Assets). It builds 344 pixel exact sprites and Tiles, 5 RuleTile brushes, 6 AnimatedTiles and a scene holding the sample map. Tested in a blank Unity 6000.5.7f1 project: every RuleTile drew the right tile in all 256 neighbour arrangements (1,280 of 1,280), and Unity's render of the scene matched the sample map pixel for pixel. Brushes need the free 2D Tilemap Extras package. - Tiled: one .tsx per sheet with every animation and its timing written in; Tiled 1.12.2's own renderer drew the sample map identical to ours (1,064,960 px, 0 differ), and, advanced to the middle of every frame, drew exactly our frames for the lantern, the windpump and the tumbleweed (11 checks, 2,129,920 px).
- RPG Maker MZ: every set on the A2 page as MZ's own autotile brush, composed back out of the sheet with MZ's own autotile table (240 of 240 identical). Tested against the table, not inside the MZ editor. Objects on the B and C sheets; MZ does not animate object tiles, so the animation frames are there as tiles.
- Godot 4: one TileSet, loaded and verified in Godot 4.7.2 (344 tiles built). The TileSet carries no animation; the frames are there as tiles.
The proofs
Every tile's wrap boundary is measured against its own interior, and every 4x4 repetition is rendered and reviewed. Grid, palette and autotile completeness are machine-proven: every tile is exactly 16x16 (the multi-cell objects exact multiples), every pixel is inside the 67-colour palette, alpha is strictly on or off, and all 5 sets carry all 47 masks.
More from the series
Verdant 03 — Worlds adds snow, desert and volcanic ground in the same palette (its mesa sits beside this canyon), and Verdant 24 — Desert Kingdom is sandstone, dunes and an oasis.
AI disclosure
Every tile is generated by our own procedural drawing engine, which is AI written software. No image model draws any tile, no scraped art and no training dataset were used, and nothing was traced. The cover illustration is made with an image model.
