Wildmark Actions 01: Strike, Hurt, Death — 128x128 & 64x64 action sprites
A downloadable asset pack
You bought a character pack and it shipped an idle and a walk. Then you needed the character to hit something, take a hit, and die, and it was not in the download. This is that download.
4 adventurers · 3 combat states · 3 directions each · a 5-frame strike, a 6-frame hurt and a 6-frame death · 204 frames at 128x128 and the same again at 64x64.
Drawn onto the exact bodies, palette and 128px cell of Wildmark 01: The Party, and re-homed against each character's own idle by whole-pixel translation only, nothing resized, so the boots land on the same ground line and nothing jumps when your character switches from idle to strike. You do not need Wildmark 01 to use this pack, but the two are built to sit on one screen.
What is in the download
- 128x128/frames and 64x64/frames, 204 individual PNGs each
- sheets/, 12 character sheets per grid, RPG Maker row order
- engine_import/godot/, real SpriteFrames .tres resources, one per character, all 9 animations pre-sliced, loop off, at both grids
- frames.json, every frame's exact x / y / w / h by character, animation, direction and index
- pack.json, LICENSE.txt, Readme_for_Users.md
The consistency proof
Every line below is a mechanical assertion over the shipped files, re-run on every build, and you can re-derive all of them from the pixels you receive:
- Every one of 2,102,028 opaque pixels falls inside the declared palette. PASS, 128 colours.
- Every frame is exactly the declared cell, every sheet a whole multiple of it. PASS, 456 files.
- Alpha is strictly binary, no soft edges and no stray anti-aliasing. PASS, 12,533,760 pixels.
- Every character has every state in every direction, at every grid. PASS, 408 frames, no holes.
- No two characters share a silhouette. PASS, closest pair 35.0% against a 25% floor.
- Every declared animation actually moves. PASS, tightest frame pair 2.49% against a 2% floor.
- Godot builds exactly what the files declare. PASS, 204 frames per grid, 0 null textures, Godot 4.7.2.
Almost no pack in this category states any of these at all. The honest worry about generated art is that frame 40 will not match frame 1. That list is the checkable answer.
Stated plainly
- Three directions, not four. There is no north row and that is a decision. A back view puts the hands behind the body, so an action seen from directly behind has almost nothing to show.
- West is mirrored from east on 5 of the 36 facings, all four strike west facings and the elf's hurt west. In those the character strikes with the other hand.
- The strike is 5 frames where hurt and death are 6. A sixth existed and it was the pose the clip was seeded from. On some facings it duplicated the idle you already own, so it was cut rather than padded.
- The front-facing strikes read as a guard more than a punch, because a punch thrown toward the camera barely changes the silhouette. The side rows are where the extension reads.
- The rogue ends his death slumped rather than flat. He is wearing a pack that stands above both shoulders and comes to rest against it.
