Verdant Seasons — One Meadow, Four Times a Year [16x16]
A downloadable asset pack
492 tiles · 4 seasons · 8 complete 47-mask autotile sets · one locked 54-colour palette
Most tile packs give you a place. This one gives you a year.
The same meadow, the same track, the same pond and the same tree — authored four times, in spring, summer, autumn and winter, on one 16x16 grid and one palette. Paint a map once and you can show it in any month. The pond freezes.
What you get
- 48 terrain fills — meadow, track and pond, 4 seasons x 4 variants each
- 376 autotile tiles — 8 complete 47-mask blob sets, 376 mask slots, none missing
- 56 prop tiles — 16 distinct objects, each shipped transparent and grounded
- 12 animated tiles — the pond surface, 4 seasons x 3 frames
16 distinct objects and 492 tile files are different numbers and both are true: a tree is a 2x2 footprint, and every object ships twice.
The objects, in all four seasons
A tree — blossom, full leaf, orange, then bare branches with snow lying on the upper side of each limb. A shrub. A rock. And one object that belongs to its season alone: a flower clump, a stand of grass gone to seed, a swept leaf pile, a wind-carved drift.
The rock is deliberately the same rock in all four seasons — only what lies on it changes. The world does not change; the season does.
Every prop ships twice
Transparent, to drop on your own ground, and grounded, on our meadow with the contact shadow already between the two. Both, because a contact shadow has to darken something: drawn on transparency it reads as a hole in the grass, and shipping only the grounded form strands you if you have your own terrain.
What is proven — and what is only measured
Proven exactly:
- Exact grid — every cell exactly 16x16; every sheet a whole multiple of it.
- Palette lock — 1,680,797 opaque pixels checked, every one inside the declared 54 colours. Not checked afterwards: the generator refuses to write an undeclared colour.
- No anti-aliasing — alpha is strictly binary across 2,162,688 pixels. No halo, no soft upscale.
- Autotile completeness — 376 of 376 mask slots present. A 47-tile blob set missing three tiles is broken in your map; none of these is missing any.
Measured, not proven, and said plainly: every tile's wrap boundary is measured against its own interior, and every 4x4 repetition is rendered and reviewed by eye. That is a floor, not a proof — the statistical check catches hard edge artefacts reliably and the subtlest class of seam defect only rarely. The 60 4x4 proof renders ship in the package so you can look for the grid line yourself, and each is checked against the tile it claims to prove.
Engine imports
- RPG Maker MZ — B/C object sheets and an A2 autotile sheet. Every shape MZ can request composes back out of the emitted sheet using the engine's own
FLOOR_AUTOTILE_TABLE. RPG Maker MZ is not installed here, so this is not "verified in RPG Maker MZ". - Godot 4 — a
.tresTileSet with 20 atlas sources, loaded and verified in Godot 4.7.2: every atlas source built, every texture resolved, every declared tile present, every multi-cell footprint exact. Not the editor GUI, not a TileMapLayer, not a running game. - Tiled — a
.tsxper sheet, written to spec and parsed back for well-formedness. Not opened in Tiled — Tiled is not installed here.
The sample map
A picture and the data. The same twelve acres four times, in four quadrants, with the geometry identical by construction, so the only difference between quadrants is the season. The JSON carries ground[row][col] and an ordered props[] of tile ids, so it is rebuildable in any engine, and every id resolves in tiles.json.

AI disclosure
Graphics: yes. Code: yes. Sounds: no. Text and dialog: no. Every tile is generated programmatically by original software written by Core Systems Asset Factory, from a hand-authored palette, hand-authored motifs and hand-authored material rules. No diffusion or image-generation model was used and no third-party artwork is incorporated — which is why the licence above can be granted cleanly.
Part of the Verdant series — same 16x16 cell, same palette, mixes on one map with every other Verdant pack.
